Mclusky and Jarcrew save Le Pub !
One massive night in Newport where two of Wales biggest sounds from the last decade came together to make noise and raise the roof on a venue that badly needed a new one.
As part of a campaign to raise enough money to fix a serious sound insulation problem, Historic Music venue LePub in Newport were blessed with showcasing various performances from a number of acts who provided all their services for free. They raised over the required £10,000.00 needed to refit a very degraded and worn roof preventing closure that would have resulted from a successful sound pollution complaint from local residents.
The bands win again and I was very fortune to able to document this one night back in early November.
From a personal perspective watching two favourite, much missed and amazing rock acts, its was ruddy awesome !
I also shot a little video here of Jarcrew performing “Paris and the new Math” which you can view here: –
